Frequently Asked Questions
What does Landscape One Consulting do?
We provide expert second opinions on landscape quotes and contractor estimates.
Our service
ensures homeowners, builders, architects, and designers get accurate pricing, uncover hidden costs,
and understand exactly what’s included before committing to a project.
Why should I get a second opinion on my landscape estimate?
Contractor quotes can sometimes leave out important details, overcharge for materials, or underestimate labor. With 24 years of landscape industry experience, we review estimates line by line, identify red flags, and confirm whether the pricing and scope of work are fair. Our goal is to protect your budget and give you peace of mind.
Who do you work with?
• Homeowners planning new or renovated landscapes
• Custom home builders seeking accurate project costs
• Landscape architects and residential architects needing estimate validation
• Anyone who wants confidence before investing in landscaping

What makes you different from other landscape contractors?
Unlike contractors, we’re not trying to sell you the project. Our role is independent and unbiased. We work only for you, the client, to make sure you understand the estimate and get the best value for your investment.
Do you design landscapes, or just review estimates?
Both. We can create design plans, provide detailed project take-offs, and develop accurate cost estimates. But many clients hire us specifically for a second opinion to validate or challenge a contractor’s quote.
Can you help me save money?
Yes. By spotting inflated prices, missing details, and unnecessary upgrades, we often save clients thousands of dollars. Even if your contractor’s quote is fair, the peace of mind alone is worth the review.
What areas do you serve?
We provide consulting both in person across Texas and virtually nationwide. We have a non-compete arrangement in Travis, Williamson, Burnet, Hays, Caldwell, Bastrop, and Blanco counties, so we cannot work in these areas. If you’re outside our local area, you can email us your contractor’s quote and project details for a remote review.
How much does your consulting service cost?
Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the project. Smaller estimate reviews may be a flat fee, while larger projects are billed hourly. We provide clear pricing upfront so there are no surprises.
What experience do you bring?
We have 24 years of professional landscape industry experience in design, construction, and nursery operations. We are also certified Texas Master Naturalists, giving us deep knowledge of plants, ecology, and sustainable landscapes.
How do I get started?
Reach out to us and share your contractor’s quote or project details, and we’ll schedule a consultation to start your review.
